<![CDATA[Welcome to the 2014 Idaho Legislative Session]]>Wed, 08 Jan 2014 19:12:39 GMThttp://www.idahocid.com/blog/welcome-to-the-2014-idaho-legislative-sessionThe Consortium for Idahoans with Disabilities advocates on behalf of the issues that affect individuals with disabilities, their families, and their communities. We encourage individuals with disabilities, parents, and other advocates to make their voices heard.

CID strongly believes that the ability to participate in local, state, or even national government is a fundamental right of every citizen. As we move into the 2014 Legislative Session, we would like to see that:

· People with disabilities feel welcome in our Statehouse.

· People with disabilities are listened to and treated with respect.

· That people’s dignity as human beings is upheld.

· That a person’s unique qualities are not only recognized but valued.

If you want to learn more about advocacy and how you can participate, contact any of the CID agencies.
